Have you ever encountered or heard of a case where a Canadian study permit visa application was rejected due to "insufficient financial support"? If you happen to find yourself in this situation, don't worry! Below are the steps you can take to improve your chances of success when resubmitting your application.
1️⃣ Update the required financial amount according to IRCC’s guidelines
Ensure that you have at least 20,635 CAD for one academic year (not including tuition fees). Provide complete financial documents, such as bank savings and evidence of lawful income sources.
2️⃣ Clarify the source of your financial support
IRCC needs to see that your financial support is legitimate. You should provide documents such as salary slips, employment contracts, or tax papers from your financial sponsor.
3️⃣ Revise your Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Your SOP needs to clearly explain your reasons for studying abroad and your financial plan. Prove that you have a serious academic plan and will return to your home country after completing your studies.
4️⃣ Consult a migration expert
A migration expert can help you check your application, avoid minor mistakes such as missing documents or incorrect information, and increase your chances of approval.
5️⃣ Prove your ties to your family and home country
Provide documents showing that you have strong connections to your home country, such as employment contracts, property ownership documents, or family commitments.
6️⃣ Provide evidence of scholarships or funding
If you have a scholarship or other financial support, be sure to provide documentation. This not only reduces the financial burden but also shows that you have external support.
7️⃣ Choose a reputable bank
If you are proving financial support through a bank account, select a reputable bank that ensures your account has a stable transaction history and sufficient balance as required.
8️⃣ Demonstrate your career and future plans
IRCC needs to see that you have a clear career plan. Outline the profession you will pursue after studying in Canada and explain why Canada is a good choice for your career.
PathCAN hopes that these tips will help you prepare a better Canadian study permit application and increase your chances of a successful visa approval! Good luck!
