📢 Starting from June 25, 2025, the Government of Canada has made significant adjustments to the list of programs eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). This is very important information for international students currently studying in Canada who plan to apply for PGWP after graduation.

✅ 119 new programs have been added to the list of those eligible for PGWP. These programs are in Canada's priority sectors, including:
• Healthcare: Health care, nursing, and related fields.
• Social Services: Professions supporting communities and social development.
• Education: Programs training teachers and education professionals.
• Trades: Professions related to technical, construction, and manufacturing jobs.

❌ 178 programs that are no longer aligned with Canada’s labor market needs have been removed. This could affect students currently enrolled in these programs, as they will no longer be eligible for PGWP after graduation.

Currently, there are 920 eligible programs in total for PGWP, opening up significant opportunities for international students to study in Canada's priority fields and easily obtain a work permit after graduation.

⚠️ Important note: If you are an international student who has applied for a study permit before June 25, 2025, your eligibility for PGWP will still be protected, even if your program is removed from the list after this date.

With this change, Canada aims to attract more workforce in crucial fields where the labor market is lacking. If you are considering studying in Canada, make sure to choose programs in priority fields to maximize your chances of applying for PGWP after graduation!
